Dark Peak

The Peak District national park is a constructed landscape, rich with human intervention from bronze age cairns to industrial agency. Often romanticized for its pictorial qualities, the plastic toy camera negates this for an interpretation closer to Daniel Defoe's description 'the most desolate, wild and abandoned country in all England'.
